The world is a different place when you look through a macro lens. Even an ordinary object can be quite beautiful when viewed close up.

Macro

1st album I've built.
  • Image 1 Palm

A piece of a palm that was buried inside a larger palm. I had to push aside a lot of foliage to get this image.
  • Image 2 Tulip

The colors on this backlit image just explode.
  • Image 3 Bluebell

One of my favorites. The background colors are real, no Photoshop was involved.
  • Image 4 Bluebell

I tooks quite a few images of this field of bluebells, moving the focus point in and out. I like the haze that is created by the flowers in front.
  • Image 5 Azalea

An azalea just before it blooms. It's like something from another planet.
  • Image 6 Fern

An image that took multiple days to create. A windy day made the first attempt a blurry mess.
  • Image 7 Lichten

Even simple subjects turn complex when viewed up close.
  • Image 8 Cherry Blossoms

Flowering cherries with a bright clear blue sky.
  • Image 9 Chinese Witch Hazel

A glimpse of a Chinese Witch Hazel tree.
  • Image 10 Snow Drops

Snow drops, just before they opened.
  • Image 11 Deep Purple

The yellow highlights make this image come alive.
  • Image 12 Rhododendron Bud

A winter flowering rhododendron bud. Sometimes the buds can be more interesting than the flowers.
  • Image 13 Daffodil

Daffodils are one of the first bulbs to bloom in the early spring.
  • Image 14 Fern

This tiny, delicate plant is actually attached to the boulder and is quite flat.
